Change or Addition of U.S. Employer
A Canadian professional desiring to change or add a U.S. employer may have the new employer file a Petition (I-129) with the Nebraska Service Center. Alternatively, the applicant may apply at the border for readmission to the United States and present documentation from a different or additional employer. An employee with a different or additional employer is not authorized to work prior to INS approval. Often the border option is the most viable alternative, because of processing delays at the service center.
